"My ever-loving and beloved husband, Rev.K.Singson, the then Executive Secretary of the North East India General Mission, breathed his last on 31st December, 1979 in a motorbike accident and went home to be with the Lord forever, and took his eternal rest where there is endless joy and happiness, leaving his beloved wife (myself), three little sons and two little daughters. At that moment I was filled with unspeakable sorrow, calamity and amazement. I sat heart-broken, having no understanding of the purpose why the Lord had allowed such great calamity and unbearable sorrow to come in to our family. I cried before the Lord day and night asking him to tell me the reason why this had entered our poor home." Read more at: http://widowswelfareassociation.com

I am an orphan but don’t lack the opportunity to study, thanks to Ruth Blessed Home. With the Grace of God, Ruth Blessed home and adopted me and sends me to school as well. I study in std. 9. I praise God for making such people who are willing to do for poor orphans like me unselfishly.
In the month of June, I had the golden opportunity to attend the Teen Street, an international youth meting. This is something I had never seen in my life before nor had I ever dreamt of it. There amongst many others from all over the world, I learned so many spiritual ways of life. Many Godly Coaches taught me about the way to heaven and how to overcome temptations. I thank God for giving me the opportunity to go to the Teen Street. I was able to learn so many things that will always help me in my life. The thing I like the most is, “To hear the words and put them into practice.”
Thank you.

I am an orphan who was deserted by her husband years ago. An illiterate left to fend for two children could not see any hope. God send the people from the Ruth Blessed Home to rescue my children and me. They told me about The Lord and helped me to believe in Him and His ways. I accepted the Lord and now I can see the Light and the hope. My children now go to a good English medium school.
I am now being trained in tailoring and other things. I help the children and widows in the Home. I thank and praise God for giving my children and me food, shelter and education. I too would like to study and become literate. Please pray for my children and me.
Thank you.

Yet I’m not alone for The Father is with me: John 16:32

My dear partners, co-workers in Christ and my well wishers in The Lord Our Saviour Jesus Christ,
Greetings in the name of our Precious Lord!

Please accept my sincere apology for the delay in bringing to you all that The Lord has been doing in our lives. The Holy Sprite has been moving the hearts of people and getting them to their saviour. With great excitement I’d like to share all that has been happening in our live as we work together to establish His Kingdom.

Praise and Prayer Bulletin:

Ø On the 12th of February 2005, we had a fasting prayer. Our Church members, in unison, fasted and prayed for the entire day. They sought the Lord’s will in their lives. God’s great power was revealed to many. 15 of our church members came forward for baptism.

Ø On the 21st of February 2005,we celebrated the Birthday of the oldest member in our Home. Doris stepped into her 89th year by the grace of the Almighty.

Ø The Lord helped us to counsel and help one drug addict youth. The youth has now been unshackled from the bondage of drugs forever.

Ø The second batch of chicken was put in the poultry farm. The staff members of the farm work in unity and try to make the most of it.

Ø Some of God’s people have gifted the children in our Home with beautiful Bibles. For many of whom it is a very precious gift: the best in their whole life so far.

Ø April, being the end of the academic year in schools here, has been a good month for the children. They have all successfully finished their previous year and have now been promoted to new classes.

Ø From the 5th of March we have started a tailoring unit for some young widows at the Ruth Blessed Home. The unit trains the widows here. Thus, enabling them to be self-sufficient.

Ø Sister Pamela visited us on the 4th of March. She stayed here for two weeks. Her visit was of great blessing for the many widows and others as well.

Ø The 5th of March was a day of excitement in my family. There was a reception dinner hosted by the family for my third son Noble’s wedding with Kim. Thought the wedding had taken place in September in Manipur, we had a small function here in Hyderabad for people to bless the couple. Furthermore, they are also being blessed with a baby in the month of August.

Ø On the 10th and 11th of March, Sister Pamela, my eldest daughter-in-law and me had been to Kurnool, a town 200 kilometres from here. We conducted a widow’s meeting there and many of the widows received new-life and spiritual restoration.

Ø On the 13th of March, 15 members of our church took holy baptism.

Ø On the 15th of March we had organised a medical camp for slum children and women. We would like to thank all our friends for the financial help extend by them for this camp. We would also like to give a very special thanks to Dr. Mani for dedicating her time for this camp. Medicines and other aids were distributed among the poor and ailing. Sister Pamela prayed for one and all. All those attending the camp were served with a hearty lunch too. Everyone went back with a joyful heart praising the Lord.

Ø On the 23rd March, I was invited to speak at Grace Residential Hostel. 5 students accepted the Lord and 6 students who had backslide came back to the Lord.

Ø On the 27th of March, Easter Sunday, I preached in the Church. Many of the members were strengthened in the Lord and decided on taking stronger stands for the Lord.

Ø The month of April was dedicated towards house visits and personal counselling. We visited nearly 10 families and many were counselled.

Ø Homeless widows on the streets were also met and counselled by us. They were given clothes, food and medicines as well.

Ø Our church along with the church of El Shadai conducted a Vocational Bible School from the 4th till the 14th of May. 350 children attended this VBS. Many children were form non-Christian and Hindu background; out of which many of the accepted Jesus Christ as their Saviour. We are glad the seeds have been planted in the hearts of these young buds and pray that the Holy Sprite will lead them on in the ways of the Lord.

Prayer Points:
Ø Special prayers for new believers and for the ones who were baptised in the past couple of months

Ø There is a dire need for a permanent housing facility for the elderly and ailing widows. A temporary house requires moving in a few weeks. The ailing and old widows find the frequent moving very troublesome. Please pray for a permanent Care Centre in the city.

Ø Pray for a young widow. Gowri, 24 years is with us with her two children, Sujatha: 7 years and Sonu: 5 years.

Ø Prayer for a partially paralysed widow. Mercy, bed ridden for sometime now required constant medical supervision. Please pray for her health and her medical expenses.

Ø Pray for my sister in law Moi, who lost her husband on the 1st of April. She is left with 4 children. Please pray for them and for the absence of their mortal father to be filled with the presence of the Everlasting Father.

Ø The summer here is scorching with a maximum temperature at 45° C. Please pray for the innumerable homeless widows with out any shade over their head.

Ø Please continue to pray for my health. I have to go to several different districts for spreading the Word in the near future.

In conclusion, I would like to thank you so very much for your immense support and prayers extended towards the unprivileged. May the good Lord bless you abundantly as you seek His will and serve Him. May you be used time and again to bring smiles to the poor and needy.

Thanking you
Your co-worker in Christ,

Ruth Singson
